I always thought that the birthday
celebration should be given to the
person who gave birth.......
So here is my attempt to honor
GOD MY FATHER
MY LORD JESUS
MY HELPER-THE HOLY SPIRIT
on this the 25Th
year of my "born again life"
What i recall was this....
a woman who lacked
understanding
who thought she was a
kind, giving soul
and that she embodied goodness
and on those grounds
if asked
she'd of replied
for certain, I will go to heaven!
My goodness list
was incredible
I was a kind soul
in fact is was hard
for me to tell others after
YOU saved me
that You changed me
and made me good...
i remember that my friends
refused to give You
YOUR deserve, they insisted
I was always good....
i still knew too little to
instruct their misconceptions.
When I first read that I needed
to be saved from my sins
I thought "I don't have any"
when i read.....
with Christ on the throne of my life
things would be in order
and with self on the throne
life would be in dis-array
I thought "not me"
I'm in the drivers seat
and things are going really well.
O, I believed in Your Son - somewhat?
But to need Him to save me from my sins?
What Sins?
All (i) can say now is this
Thank YOU GOD for the rope!
Thank YOU for the day
You opened my blind eyes to see my sin
thank You for the day that YOU
made me aware of my need for salvation!
(i) thank You God for making a way
through Jesus dying in my place for my sins
and then not only forgiving me
but then giving me a new life to live
it has been an adventure beyond words!!!
Thank You Holy Spirit for raising me
from my floor that night, to live for GOD!
And for all YOUR HELP SINCE!
Thank You Jesus for suffering for me
so that i can go to heaven for all eternity!
