Poetic Verses
The Book Of Life
The book of life is written slow,
a page for every day
The father into life you go
the more you have to say
Every day's a blank page, white
of moments that have passed
The journey of life that you write
is a legacy to last
For all of those gone before,
the pages are old and brown
and filled with anecdotes and lore
'til the life had dwindled down
Recorded from your birth
are facts and stories told
Some are filled with mirth
yet others much too bold
The contents of each book
are never, ever, the same
The book of life's just a look
at our differences in life's game

the more you have to say
Every day's a blank page, white
of moments that have passed
The journey of life that you write

For all of those gone before,
the pages are old and brown
and filled with anecdotes and lore
'til the life had dwindled down
Recorded from your birth
are facts and stories told
Some are filled with mirth

The book of life's just a look
