When I get to heaven, I will then be free
free from all these sins besetting me
daily I must kill this beast inside
O, my wretchedness, it must be crucified
I long for heavens great celestial shore
there, where sin shall restrain me no more
all these struggles then, will be my past
my peace with God forever-after shall last
I'll be all I should be, without pretend
my sinful flesh won't enter with me then
no more struggling for me to obey
then I will be perfect in every way
My God will welcome me into His home
by nothing but, Christ shed blood alone
He will listen as I join, in song to sing
how much I love Him, my Lord and King
This horrid flesh, is something I won't miss
exchanged forever by HIS eternal bliss
paved golden streets and a flowing river
unending days spent with My souls LIFE-GIVER
