Upon two feet they walked the ground
They climbed on rocks salvation bound
Free they roamed if for awhile
Upon two feet many defiled
The desert sand and wilderness
Would punish them and tenderness
Would come to know the ugly side
Of man, this world they would collide
The pebbled roads would scar their sole
As many saw and would behold
The Son of Man who took the road
Of sin for all the count untold
Still they kept to feet faithful
Where pleasantries would know ungrateful
Those who took but nothing gave
Those today yet still unsaved
Though worn and torn by Earthly matters
They would become like Him the latter
To eyes that seen and ears that heard
When crucified they'd not deter
He who came and worn them through
Until separate from feet they knew
They'd lay on ground while nails would drive
The soul they knew and feet from preyed
These sandals worn still walk today
On spirit born on feet they stayed
To bring good news of He who lives
Worn by the One who still forgives
