LAZY AFTERNOON

LAZY AFTERNOON

Sitting in the garden
In the warm summer breeze,
Watching the leaves move
As it blows thru` the trees.

I see the birds up high
In the warm streams of air,
Their wings are open wide
They glide without a care.

The butterfly is here
So delicate is she,
She`s sharing a flower
With busy bumble bee.

There goes another plane
Leaving a vapour trail,
I do not like to fly
I would much rather sail.

The tortoise is lazy
He`s sleeping in the sun,
He feels rather tired
Now that dinner is done.

I feel so relaxed here
With nothing to be done,
I could join the tortoise
And have a nap in the sun.
