Joe and The Bears Rescue

It was a Tuesday morning in august,
Good old England, knows a bit about rain,
I had one of “those days“, with out warning,
That this day was going to be a pain;

It started relatively quite,
Had breakfast, started to strum and play;
Wife had been out since early,
started unfolding my mind for the day;

And then the dreaded phone call !
Shear panic in her demean our
“I have locked the keys in the car!
Hello Joe? hello Joe?its me ;its Tina!!!!

I phoned my mate “The Bear“, who took me to the scene
But seeing my wife half drowned and  frightened
The bear and I just screamed,

We Turned away right fast like!
As not to cause her any tears
I kept thinking to myself quietly
This story I could tell for years.

Attempted the wire coat hanger,
through the window,  to the door catch
 Borrowed umpteen ford car keys
Sadly none of them was a match;

The bear came up with a suggestion!
How about  trying to use a wheel brace?
My wife said “ I don't think so bear”
It wont fit the lock ,in any case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we smashed the passengers side door window,
“See the bears  has done it before“!
Splinters of glass was all over the car,
In our cloths, and all over the floor.

It was then that we had noticed
The back seats was full of mirrors and chairs,
Then Tina started crying again, proclaiming ,
How am I gonna get in there??????????

Several hour later, with no Sherpa for an aid.
Me and the bear gave a standing ovation
For tina slid through the car like a snake;

The keys were eventually rescued,
The bear went home with a smile;
 I Drove around hunting for a spare window.
With rain on my face for miles……………

I have to say if you read this,
our lives have never been sad..
tina and joe make a great couple
all be it that ones barking mad........

guess who???????
