Turn off the lights to enter the darkness of your mind
Can this be the best place that you will learn to find
Wasn't it the other day that you felt like you lost a piece of your mind
Today is the day that you will get the power that you need to get on the grind
Please look at how life can take you through so many twists and turns
The fact remains that you will not be one who will crash and burn
A day like this one is where you learn to look at the glass as half full
Don't start to think that this life is one that does not push and pull
What ever is in the heart, is what the mouth will surely one day speak
Just make sure that you are working hard everyday so that you will be ready to peak
I have hid my head in the ground on so many occasions that it's not even funny
Feeling like a failure sometimes because I did not have even an ounce of money
Money is not everything as some may suggest but it sure does pay everyone of my bills
One thing that I realize is that money will not cure any of my many characteristic ills
Yes I am one who has been down in the dark and dry valley with the dried up bones
Something inside of me makes me feel like I need a new me something like a clone
Can I really become something great for the Kingdom of God as crazy as I feel at times
What makes me feel like I can go and reach someone who is down to their very last dime
Will they understand that I am just a common man that is following the Master's plan
Or will they try and crucify me as they did Jesus and say you are running nothing but a scam
You can say what you want, but this is not a road that I chose, but one that was given
Life has a way of making you feel like you are locked away in some far off prison
I have not done the kind of harm that will take a man's life away for no reason
I do know that everything in this lifetime has a time as well a season
I will do everything that I can to become a more tolerant human being
I will not be one who will do what you want me to do in order to be agreeing
I will fight the system of injustice and those who lack the faith to grow
I will be one who does more than one who does a lot of talking and one who puts on a show
It's time to turn the lights back on and come out of the darkness of your mind
This will be the edifice that will allow you to enter a place called cleansing time
Shadows of your old life will pass away as you learn to walk anew in God's only begotten
Who else could this be you many wonder and it's none other than Jesus Christ the Son
Peace will surely come unto you when you begin to speak the words of a forgiving prayer
You will begin to notice that piece by piece of you are stripped away layer upon layer
Now you can see that you are a new seed that will given a chance to grow into an anointed tree
You can now begin to look at your new life and walk in a new place so that you are Free Lyke ME
