Dust and Dreams-A Journey

Fade to Black (Dreams)

Fade To Black

Fade to black, then back again,
The world must renounce the despondent's sin,
For tea time is eras past,
Rancid lady fingers be sole repast,
The madhatter be host to tea time blues,
As gnats crawl to creep against his shoes,
Our saucers are moving, as we resume,
With shaking hands, to thirstily consume,
Black tea of bitters, that acrid brew,
Have we not one final change to construe,
Soothing herbal essence, calming to mind,
As Pluto's white face peers behind the vine,
To gaze upon the heads of Alice's group,
While the guests start in on the scalding soup.
