v "the Golden Dragon's impending journey"
one day as many months passed,
the Golden Dragon stood before
his serene, graceful, deep white
magnolia habibi tree. he
stood silently for a very long
while. as he reached to touch
one of her fragile blossoms,
he told her he needed to go
away for a length of time.
he looked at the lovely crystal
that hung from one of her branches
remembering when he gave it to her
after one of his long spells away
at battle. the Golden Dragon
smiled amidst his sadness.
the life of a warrior was
difficult for those closest,
yet he knew she was well
rooted in his wood so she would
be safe in his absence.
as he stood quietly in his favourite
part of his wooded wood, he remembered
the sound of his habibi's soft laughter,
the beauty of her smile and the peace
of her presence. his claw lightly
touched the white beaded veil
she had given to him many moons
ago; he always kept it in its place
so very near to him. as the Golden
Dragon turned to go, the crystal
suddenly shimmered in the sunlight
and shone to his path ahead.
