Autumn Sonnet
If I should write to thee my sonnet fair
of the glory of, this, my garden deep;
words would hold the chill of the autumn air
and colorful leaves in memory keep
The flowers blooms have now started to fade
but how all of the leaves brilliantly glow
as if the colors came to nature's aide
to give to us a kaleidoscope show
Tumble the leaves, as one by one they fall
fluttering in color to surround you
as they seem to answer a gusty call
giving this season it's much needed due
This, my autumn sonnet that I now write,
is autumn's chill yet a color delight
