WITH GOSSAMER WINGS


Oh yellow moon high in the sky
your bright light glows in the dark night

If I could I would on wings of love ride
leaving today behind and time rewind

Yesterday's moon beams shined on the moors
like Heathcliff my love you did store

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As a fairy with gossamer wings sprinkles stardust to the wind
my fantasies of yesteryear begins

Young and carefree as only new love can be
We raced the wind over the lea

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh to be a child once more
to live in fairyland - that land of make believe

Where fantasies had happy endings
in the land where dreams once came true

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Dreams fragile with age drift away
If I could hold you one more I would beg please stay

In my memories I search for you
Can I leave today behind and time rewind

I put away my dreams for another night
As fairies fold their wings in the morning light
