Angels Take Flight

And it got dark,
The stars in my eyes and the questions of why's.

Bright light, the tunnel in sight,
Angels with white aura's stopping mid flight.

My breath is now shallow,
My heart beat is slow,
As my life flashes before me, and it's time to go.

A flash of the feotus,
My first day at school,
Teenage years race by as I play the fool.
Adult memories of alcohol and sex,
I guess you are wondering what comes next?

As I lye here helpless and the flashes race by,
as the darkness closes in, I ask myself why.

My heart beat pauses,
My lungs wont inflate,
As I lye here in stillness, a victim of fate.

My eyes are now heavy and blinded by the light,
My spirit is lifting as angels take flight.
This moment is peaceful as death takes control,
as me and my saviour step out for a stroll.
