from your ancestors blood
in the wetted brooks
Remember the days
in what you sang the purity
and the acts
in cruelty silenced
the ancestral history
and the freedom old lesson

that in unexpected ways
it was transformed
in a free nation

silenciados pelas crueldades
a História ancestral
e a velha lição de Liberdade

recorda a ternura
que em caminhos inesperados
se transformou
numa Nação Livre
