 Over The Edge

You lure me to look over the edge;
Vertigo spins my head as I approach.
Inching my way closer, led by your hand;
Fear nearly paralyzes me as I come near.

Openness, vastness, shear magnificence;
Unable to find my bearings in this place.
Looking down into the beauty of the canyon;
Soaring eagles below my feet as I settle.

This clear bridge out over the canyon's rim;
Walking in mid air, like in some old cartoon.
Fear is overtaken by the beauty of the moment;
On this awe inspiring  bridge over the edge.

Thank you, my friend, for bringing me here;
You have introduced me to a new level of life.
My exhilarated senses are alive with passion;
I want to never leave this bridge over the edge.
