Today marks more than unjust fate
Nueve Once the month and date
Will bring to mind the many lost
Too soon, too high, ones loss
If hands turned back the clock that day
Knowing how much carnage would lay
Across three states arms would spread wide
Embracing souls their last goodbyes
Innocence both young and old
Would be what time would not have stole
As terrorists plotted the course
As months turned years, to date remorse
I lived in New York for some time
Alas both life and it's skyline
Would be clouded by fire and ash
Where gone stands now with what did crash
Lives and hearts and souls that bare
A wound where empty and no care
Left and leaves it's mark this day
To sky that cries with rain today
No one will know what came to mind
As fires burned, structures would wind
Crashing as death would come to claim
In buildings tall and life on planes
I pray with hope GOD lays his hands
On every child, woman and man
To bring forth peace no man can write
To comfort hearts that cry this night
