 Romancing

An evening alone in the quiet with the love of my life;
Remembering the day with fondness I made her my wife.
Music playing low in our living room, we begin dancing;
I pull her close to me, anticipating an evening of romancing.

We had a nice diner, and we each have had a relaxing bath;
Yet, never rushing,  walking down the flower laden path.
The two becomes one, our brains and souls intertwine;
Relaxing under the spell of several glasses of a nice white wine.

Tenderness emerges first, reaching out to heal the frayed edges;
Next romancing begins to move gently in, my heart now pledges.
Passion is now slowly stirred from the very core of our beings;
Romancing complete in us fully; closing the door, no sightseeing.
