Whether from a broken relationship
Or desire to seek out companionship
All of us experience the in between
Times when God is most often seen
God reminds us He is always there
To meet our needs because He cares
His name is I AM here in the present
Not who was or will be in future tense
In need of finances, He will provide
Need a friend, He walks by your side
These promises are all yours and more
When you accept His gift forevermore
Embrace each moment today and shine
Don't wait to live until your life is fine
Happiness is based on each circumstance
Joy is from the soul by your countenance
God appeared to Moses in a bush in flames
Moses turned to look, God revealed His name
Knowing his heart, what was that in his hand?
Just a staff, but it was the key to God's plan
God said to throw it down on the ground
It became a snake, but God turns it around
Telling Moses to pick up by again by the tail
It was God's rod, which His plan would prevail
Like Moses, daily surrender and letting go
Involves allowing God complete control
Whatever we hold too tightly in our life
Affects our relationships and causes strife
The snake reflects our ego getting in the way
Like the song says He gives and takes away
Letting go is an act our of our will and trust
Shows our cooperation that God knows best
God may give it back to us, restored and new
Appearing the same, but with our ego gone too
Other times He keeps it, exchanging in its place
Something even better, by His mercy and grace
Living the in between is adapting to His plan
God asks for obedience from the heart of man
We may seek approval of what we want to do
Only His way is always perfect for me and you
Life in between is compared to a tight rope
Filled with tension, yet Jesus gives us hope
Embracing the moment, learning to let go
Adapting to His plan, our lives will grow
