Beauty lies somewhere in the western sky
painted in that brilliant vast abstract.
Hidden by the hulking shapes from my eye
distorted by obstacles which do detract.
Lost among the barricades man has wrought
billowing up, encompassing my view.
Blocking all those images I have sought
cutting the great canvas in two.
