Looking, staring at the glass
A mosaic image of my past
Scattered pieces show it all
A painted mirage upon my wall

Despair sets in by every flaw
A grotesque picture does it draw
Breathing harder by distorted views
Staring longer at the ugly hues

Oh Mirror, Mirror set me free
Why do you go on to torture me
Inside feeling I could scream
As if trapped in one terrible dream

Morbid thoughts plague my mind
the farthest regions so unkind
Why oh why these visions appear
Bringing out my every fear

Hence, Do not worry about my fate
For I am planning my escape
A whisper of lies engorges me
Thus, knowing this, I must break free

Compulsive thoughts draw me near
Calling me for one last stare
You and I have been at war
An enemy, I will take no more

The mind has played a dirty game
A convincing one of pity and shame
The blameless victims of these faults
Hit by a reflections wave of insults

Mirror, Mirror it's okay
I won't believe your lies today
This is the present, not the past
As I stand in the midst of broken glass
