Cathedral Trees
Gorse light in my head
Breeze rushing to greet me,
Out in the wilds but never alone.
Flowers line the paths I walk
Welcoming me to spring woods.
A choir of birds sing my fanfare;
The sun through cathedral trees
Dapples the midday with fairy lights.
Sitting on a moss laden rock
Light and shade bestowed by clouds
I wonder if the world ever was
Or has it all been just a dream
Breeze rushing to greet me,
Out in the wilds but never alone.
Flowers line the paths I walk
Welcoming me to spring woods.
A choir of birds sing my fanfare;
The sun through cathedral trees
Dapples the midday with fairy lights.
Sitting on a moss laden rock
Light and shade bestowed by clouds
I wonder if the world ever was
Or has it all been just a dream
