 fear
How to express what one feels?
Not every hour or minute
Like a bird in a field
First you don't, but then you see it

Fleeting yet there, so real
Shaken like a rattle
Until you feel
The inner battle

So I will say out loud
I feel confused
How could this be allowed?
To feel so abused

But we all die right?
Just a case of when
We all succumb to this fight
We are all human

I have seen it, smelt it
It's held my hand
And set sailed with it
To another land

It scares me, freezes me
To the spot I now stand
This is what I feel you see
Because I don't understand

So this is how I feel
Scarred by my encounter
I know it is real
And what it did to her

Will it hurt? How will it be?
My final breath
This is what scares me
Death!
