Can We Redeem  -  Published

Photobucket
mans demise becomes one of great sadness to all
we become the extinct ones due to our own greed
we have lost our place within the balance of earth
man has taken away that which was once a world
can we redeem what the great spirit once envisioned

we decimate the very land and oceans that sustains
extinctions of millions of species at our own hands
man takes the balance of the earth away for his own
destroying the very thing that keep us alive and well
can we redeem what the great spirit once envisioned

our haste for more wealth has sealed our own doom
for progress we mutilate the land that animals live in
the air we all require now becomes tainted to breath
smog and chemicals have caused the ozone to open up
can we redeem what the great spirit once envisioned

forests are destroyed which provide needed oxygen
waters are polluted now placing aquatic life in danger
pr editors that cull the sick and helpless are slaughtered
the natural balance of this earth is placed in jeopardy
can we redeem what the great spirit once envisioned

does man consider his place as the next great spirit
are we that naive to think of ourselves as the great one
the one who has the power to decide who lives or dies
can we slow down the progress that destroys our planet
can we redeem what the great spirit once envisioned
