 These Next Few Lines
Please stay awhile and join with me
My need is you, our ecstasy
Is what I feel when you are near
Please sit and chat with us my dear

It's been some time since last we saw
The you we love, the one good cause
For me to write so you can read
Between these lines, your warmth our need

From far away although distant
We keep you here our souls existence
Pretends that all we have is us
The one good thing in life we trust

A penny for your thoughts today
We'd pay much more if you could stay
For time is short for me you see
My loss of you is killing me

With stroke of hand across your face
Warm is your cheek where still I trace
What once was then a better time
For you and I upon our mind

These next few lines will draw a close
To end this write as life we chose
To live without what then we breathed
What was just once, just once conceived

city lights Pictures, Images and Photos
