Delicate and soft the sky turns from blue
to purple to black as night replaces day.
Gentle and mild the sky turns from black
to pink to blue as day replaces night.
I sit upon my porch and wonder what good
did we do between this day and night.
As my thoughts wander from thing to thing
I perceive in my mind that many deeds both
good and evil did we do yet still I wonder.
What will tomorrow hold when when it rises
over the deep purple horizon.
