Once Upon A Dream

Photobucket
sitting in her chair you can see the wheels turn
her thoughts dwell on the past of happy days
she thinks in frames not real time all is young
there are no more realities now just patchwork
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone

occasionally she will surface i will have her back
then she is gone again lost to me once more
is it only her own world now or can i still touch her
how fast the year passed its christmas again
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone

the lights are all up she watches and watches
she will talk sometimes but only of the past
i cant explain to her she doesnt understand
her strength weakens rapidly shes always tired
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone

once upon a wonderful dream she use to laugh
to see those days when she was so vibrant
in her youth she had so many dreams
were they fulfilled did she have any regrets
once upon a dream i had her once upon a dream shes gone
