Love

Photobucket
love comes in many forms the love between a man and woman
love between mother and child as she nurtures their growth
love between friendships as they travel through life together
without love the world would be a cold and lonely place

love between siblings that last a lifetime until split by death
it is the one between man and woman that seems to mean more
they start the cycle all over again with their passionate love
without love the world would be a cold and lonely place

we speak of love reverently as that is the way it should be
a thing that starts with the universe in all its glorious creations
where love travels between the galaxies and cosmos then returns
without love the world would be a cold and lonely place

we yearn for it we dream of it we crave it especially we live for it
music is written for it so we may dance in unison through the stars
to go without love of any form reduces us to just a breathing void
without love the world would be a cold and lonely place
