Kiss Goodnight

Celestial horizon embraces the sleeping sun.
Shadows of yore walk in the misty night.
Ageless world delights in the hour, while heavens
Host witness a meteor shower.

Playful myth runs the extra mile, to catch a glimpse
Of Neptune's smile.
Now sleeping sorrows wake, when young lovers hearts
Fall and break, a weeping sea their grief will make, when
Earth begins to quake.

Sing gentle lullabies and dry the tears from those eyes
It is only earth and sky, that bare no wings to fly.
A dream of childhood imagination will lay to rest
Such false creation.

Hold the peace of night and soothe the heart with soft
Starlight.
Now give your wife a kiss goodnight.....
( Dedicated to my Loving husband)
