Distant Shores

Some say it was a stitch in time.
The verse of sadness chose not to rhyme.
Tears were rising high and to the crimson sky.
Winds carried a ship of broken hearts.
Time and sadness could not break apart.
So on the sea of sorrows heartache sailed.
The shattered hearts found love had failed.
The Captain of this ship was pale and frail.
One day the sun showed warm and chased away heartache's storm.
The light of light of love renewed near distant shore.
The pain traveled no more.
So in that stitch of time, hope came to the aid of the ship.
The sun-kissed hearts revived once more and warms their hearts on distant shores.
