The author, James G D Paul, was born and raised in British Guiana (now Guyana).
He migrated to the US in 1985 and earned his BS and MBA degrees from Tuskegee and Saint John's university, respectively.
He is married to June and together they have two sons, James Jr and Jalani.
He chose the pen name Pablo in recognition of his childhood friends in Guyana who gave him this Spanish nickname.
Pablo's passions are family, football (soccer), friends, Scrabble, reading and writing.
He currently resides in McDonough, GA, a suburb of Atlanta.
