The smile on her face
The smile on her face spoke of wonders,
Far beyond the grasp of this world,
What she saw we must leave to the future,
To a time when we too leave this earth.
Her last breath was taken in splendour,
In the light of a new world to come,
She then breathed in the air of salvation,
In the knowledge that 'God’s will be done.'
Her smile bore the glow of amazement,
What she saw one can only surmise,
In a secular world without answers,
No explaining the joy in her eyes.
