Daddy Don't Walk So Fast
Daddy Don't Walk So Fast
Time passes so fast
In the here and now
Each second missed
Equals an hour somehow
They are only babies
For a fraction of time
Each moment missed
The clock continues to chime
One day you will blink
Time lost is lost
One day you will wake
It will be too great a cost
In a second of time
They will be adults
It will then be too late
To correct your faults
Your selfish wants
Cant come before their needs
Their little hearts
Need Constant love feeds
They need you now
In those formative years
But when selfishness comes to play
Later nothing will dry your tears
So be the man they need
Let your father shadow cast
Be there for them always
And Daddy don't walk so fast

ღ God asked me how long
I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
