From Lifes Stream

Hi, I am Doug from Albany, NY. I have been writing poetry for many years. I received an Editor's Choice Award from and a Certificate of Recognition from the Famous Poets Society. I was poet of the month at netpoets society a couple of years ago. I use my poetry as an explanation for and as a balm for my emotions. I hope you will appreciate the poetry and love it as much as I do.

My favorite activities are listening to classical music, watching opera and ballet and going to art shows and museums. I like drag racing for a sport. Reading poetry by other people helps me keep my poetic focus. My favorite poets are Edgar Allan Poe and Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Yet, I do read many other poets and they teach me about all the finer things in life.

My e-mail for queries about publishing my work or getting in touch with me is

I recently learned that one of my poems, The Homeless Life, was accepted by 2quill Review for publication. I will try to keep publishing and writing. I am still waiting for Scotty to beam me up.
