LET'S DRIVE

Let's Drive
No a/c today but natural air
Let's head towards the country
On these old back roads

Still so much to see
Trees, plains, bladed grass, armadillo's
Taking their slow poke time
Beautiful sights of nature all around

Over there use to be a barn
Where we would purchase eggs
Not just any ole eggs
but preferred genny eggs
I can taste them now in my mind

The radio station playing without a static

Not one song about fighting, bitterness or hate
Not one song about cheating,
Hurting a child
Or abusing your spouse male or female

Not one song about nudity
Disrespecting mom or dad
Not one song about bullying
Road rage or attacking teachers

Long stretch of road
See railroad tracks ahead
Train coming
From far, far away

Not a cloud in the sky
The creeks have almost dried
Another car passes by
We all smile and wave

Let's Drive!
