LIFE LINES

22,184 poems read

When emotion takes over a zillion words and phrases bounce around in my head trying to escape like air bubbles in boiling water. I become debilitated, lying awake at night as emotions try to morph into poetic phrases. Not until I put pen to paper and scrawl out the words am I able to let go of the constant rhyme and alliteration that dance in my head.

My poetry has no hidden depths--I think that is why it speaks to me. It's black and white. It will hopefully stir something in each reader but the stirring will be at a basic level--I doubt you'll have to turn a phrase over and dissect it to understand the meaning.

Writing is very cathartic for me. I hope it will have some meaning for you.

Finally, and most importantly, I thank the people at poetrypoem.com and poetryvine.com for creating such a wonderful, easy forum for sharing.
