Poetic-Verses

'' The Impossible Dream ''

For every bad deed,
There are a million good,
So why don't they make the news,
We're obsessed by greed,
Yes, and being rude,
We do prefer negative views.

To save a life,
Or watch someone die,
The latter we tend to prefer,
It cuts like a knife,
But why do we deny,
For peace we don't seem to care.

Being robbed blind,
Has a certain allure,
They look upon others as scum,
Thinking it's refined,
Is really obscure,
No wonder the rich think we're dumb.

You can't get a rise,
But we'll take one,
No, you do not have a say,
Open your eyes,
We are being done,
For their opulence, we have to pay.

To worship the rich,
Is really quite sad,
As their wealth comes from ill-gotten gains,
They tend to bewitch,
Aren't they glad,
We're the ones left with the grains.

They fiddle their tax,
But we don't intervene,
Why bother, is the working class cry,
While they relax,
It's us they demean,
Have you stopped to ask yourself why?

All the world's wealth,
Is created by us,
Yet the minority skim off the cream,
It's bad for our health,
But we won't make a fuss,
Fighting back is,
