'' Exactly Like Us ''

When these ‘' natural ‘' disasters,
Cause us affray,
Why do we, the masters,
Refuse to obey.

What we take out,
Can rarely go back,
There can be no doubt,
It's ourselves we attack.

Tsunamis and quakes,
Increasing in size,
Dried up lakes,
The rainforests demise.

Hurricanes appearing,
Four at a time,
Those lives they are clearing,
We don't care one dime.

The ice caps melting,
Means seas overflow,
Storm clouds pelting,
Only one place to go.

It encroaches on land,
We need to survive,
We fully understand,
It's what keeps us alive.

Our population grows,
As resources decrease,
The intelligent? one knows,
This will soon cease.

Mother nature takes out,
Those who do as they please,
Her wrath does hold clout,
Be it storms or disease.

Mass extinctions then follow,
We ask what's the fuss,
Our excuses are hollow,

‘' Exactly Like Us ‘'
