Phrase~painters And Poeteers
Tidal Pools
Creatures brilliantly sparkle in an open
kaleidoscope; submerged.
Beaming and reflecting
Sol's Summer-time heat
with the patterns of High-tidal surge.
Sea Stars, Anenomes, Cucumbers, and urchins
cling to shallow life.
Equally, too, Mother-of-Pearl lined shells
and seaweed's green garnish
with ever slow-moving snails.
Gravitational pull from
a wide, glaring moon and to
a lesser extent, the Sun;
create these aquae wonderlands
which glisten for everyone.
A tidal pool delights every beach-comber,
from adults to a younger crew;
those snails they observe
if not eaten by Otters, can live amazing
years accumulating to two-centuries and two.
Sand Dollars, urchins, and Star-fish
munch algae to stay alive;
stuffing Aristotle's Lantern
served by waves
that celebrate High-tide.
kaleidoscope; submerged.
Beaming and reflecting
Sol's Summer-time heat
with the patterns of High-tidal surge.
Sea Stars, Anenomes, Cucumbers, and urchins
cling to shallow life.
Equally, too, Mother-of-Pearl lined shells
