Poetic Verses
Save them
It is true that children always have that yearning
By their actions, for something new to be learning
It is amazing the way they pose those many questions
And believe me I saw many parents in an awkward positions
We should always encourage those inquisitive minds
To keep exploring, so as to keep abreast of the times
Because we know that someday we shall not be around
So that there must be continuity, and this must be sound
Parent and teacher must in someway collaborate to cultivate
And allow that knowledge base to grow and propagate
So that they could assess situations, and think broadly
Not looking through that idea lens that narrowly
What is wrong in teaching them about their history
Are they trying to hide from them, the many atrocities
This they should understand in all its details
Not trying to present to them a land like a fairy tale
Time for those education officials to take command
And try to steer the course of the politicians hand
You are the ones with the knowledge and insight
So do not have that fear, just put them right
It is hard to see, the fate of our children's education
Whose course of direction is left in the hands of a politician
Who believes that banning some books,in a political posturing
Would be the best way to shield and protect our children
