Enjoy Them
You may seem to be the world in your children's eyes
That person to whom they rush anytime they get surprise
Even that threat of any sort of fear or danger
You are the one where there is that safe harbour
Of course you are seen to be powerful and strong
A person who shall right all that is wrong
So the moment when approached by any stranger
How they cling on to you, that much tighter
They are so confident when in your presence
Boldness being demonstrated at each and every instance
Therefore if anyone spoke rudely to them
They know that you shall deal with the problem
Those moments when there is that skidding on the knees
How those gentle hands are the ones that please
To them they seem to be touched by healing powers
Readily neutralising that memory of the previous horrors
Remember when they are engaging you in conversation
A sign that indicates a vocabulary compilation
In the process they can ask such surprising questions
And can at times present an embarrassing situation
This may make you feel uneasy of course, especially in public
But try to take that route, one a bit diplomatic
Like that make take a bit more research to uncover
But when we are home, this we can do together
This job can have its moments of joy and pleasure
And being with your kids are moments to treasure
So no matter what make them such memorable days
As they will grow up may depart to distant places
