In The Shadows

In the shadows dark and deep
Wallflower of the soul to keep
To steal away beyond the door
In a quiet forevermore

Amongst all of thy tasks and toils
Frustration surely therein boils
Unattended working well
Yet supervised there in hell

Tiptoe in To gently greet
Of the conquest yet to meet
To speak abide and to deliver
Utmost service of the giver

Small the masses never see
Whilst spewing mediocrity
Though still quietly attending
Secret soul therein bending

In yon shadow therein cower
Timid glance above fates tower
With many wisdoms to ye rant
Belittle meager voice so scant

And beg the hours to pass this day
Release to come and steal away
And through the door flung open wide
Where thine expression need not hide
