The changes came from within me
There was always confidence in me
Motivation and determination
It just wasn't the time
To shine
Then thy Lord said
Come on my slave you been in that cocoon
Long enough take out those wings and fly away
Show the world all your colours
Your ideas, morals, thoughts, kindness
Creativity
Not just those willing to see it
I found even through change
There is still hate and bullying
Even if you're so much more beautiful
You can lose weight and believe its the answer to everything
It indeed isn't
Didn't I the chubby girl
Be on radio and television
Start a petition and get in the paper
My humanity hasn't ended here
Only few people see past the Envy
I'm more than my achievements
I'm also a daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter
A loyal friend and neighbour
Who makes mistakes like everyone else
I'm from royalty that's been wiped out from wars and revolutionary take overs, but I'm still royal
Down to earth and humble
Making changes my friends it all starts with believing in you
Asking God and pleading His Help
Being patient and knowing your duas are being accepted
Even after 17 or 15 years
Just wait and thank Him abundantly
I'm that one who cried to Him to Help me succeed
I'd come home from school everyday and cry to Him
Until Someday I was driven and motivated
Change happens when you know
Not to rush
