The Magic of Christmas

The Magic of Christmas

It's this time of year, as we wish those we love season's greetings.
As we prepare for a time of wonderful festive cheer.
Christmas trees, and mistletoe, Santa's little helpers playing in
the snow.

Reindeers pulling Santa's sleigh, delivering presents to all the
girls and boys, as they enjoy themselves, with their faces all a glow.
Choirs singing, as they spread the Christmas joy.

Traditional carols sung, as pass them by. While Christmas markets sell
their ware. Hot chocolate, with marshmallows and whipped cream, served
with a fruit filled mince pie.

People go late night Christmas shopping, to buy those last minute special
gifts. In shops the smell of Christmas spirit fills the air. As the scent
of orange and cinnamon caresses your senses.

It's a time of wonder, memories of years gone by.
The magic of Christmas is here once again. As families and those who live
alone, begin to decorate their homes. Little children leave out milk,
carrots and mince pies, as they go to bed, and await the sound of Santa and
his reindeer.

The chill of winter season brings fun times in the snow.
Building snowmen; as children go sledging down the hill, creating snow angles,
as snow balls come and go.

Christmas lights are switched on, one by one. Flashing Christmas trees and
sparkling angles all in a yellow glow.
As crowds gather, and wait for the fall of new snow.

It's a time of joy and wonder, of friends and family, both old and new.
As winter weather draws near. Jack frost comes to freeze the snow.
It makes your fingers tingle and hats and scarfs are adorned, to keep you
warm as you spread the Christmas cheer.

People come together, to laugh and raise a glass to loved ones and friends
far and wide. They feast on festive delights. Turkey with all the trimmings,
roast potatoes, and best home made gravy.

Been thankful for all we have, on this Christmas day and night.
