Kris, I read your poem entitled MY FIRST LOVE, and I can identify with it, even though I may not have suffered the physical traumas that you have suffered. I too derive great pleasure from music. As you know, I play guitar and ukulele and write the occasional song. Just listening to music can be a wonderful experience, and if we can make our own music (or play songs that we love) the pleasure and the satisfaction are multiplied many times. Yes, music is a wonderful thing. We may each have our own musical preferences, but the world of music is a huge one, to be enjoyed and appreciated by all who are willing to enter into it.
