ABOUT: Welcome to Poetry From The Heart. My name is Katy and I am married to the most wonderful man on earth, his name is Gary. We were blessed with our first son Justin in 1989, he is now married to a wonderful young lady named Amanda (They have 2 beautiful children ages 1.5yrs and 5 yrs.). our second child is our beautiful daughter Kristen, born in 1992 (She is a single mom of a beautiful grandson of 7 yrs old. Our youngest blessing is our son Jason, born in 2001. (Graduating this year and soon to be off to college. To play tennis and get an education. My poetry writting began after the loss of our fourth child Jacob in 2003, at 16 weeks gestation. It seemed my bottled up emotions began to pour out onto paper. Then in 2004 yet again we lost a child at 16 weeks gestation, her name was Karley. It seemed as my life unfolded joys and sorrows God began to open a whole new world of poetry. My inspiration for my poetry comes from God and my experiences. Both good experiences and bad. Most of the time I am not able to just sit and write. When it hits me its like a flood of words, when I am not even trying. I feel my poetry is a gift from God. I just hope and pray I can use it to glorify Him! I am only a poet through God's choice.
