Forgive and Comfort
If someone causes distress,
Then please persuade them confess;
Not to emphasize too much,
Since they need a gentle touch.
Not as an astonishment,
For torment and punishment;
That one self does on their own,
Making themselves feel alone.
Show them that you really care,
That you are willing to share;
In trials and afflictions,
That are filled with convictions.
So give comfort and forgive,
That they can continue to live;
To ease the complexity,
For causing anxiety.
I recommend you assure,
By helping to close the door;
And putting it all behind,
In trying to ease their mind.
Forgive when in front of Christ,
During prayer can be sufficed;
Doing it in His presence,
Will give you both assurance.
