There are bridges
that I must cross
So that I may shed
this skin of mine
And leave behind
all this emptiness
Because I wasn't
meant
to live a life like this
That has been filled
with sorrows and loneliness
Because life has more
meaning
and a true defining purpose
To love thyself
first and foremost
above all the rest
So that I may embrace
the true joys
of love and happiness
That was meant for
each and everyone of us
