The One Thing I Do
Once you were divided from God,
Since you were corrupted and flawed;
The evil things that you had done,
Immorally through sinful fun,
With a hostile attitude,
While you acted just plain rude;
That had kept you from hearing Christ,
And just why He was sacrificed.
But now you know about the cross,
And He had suffered such a loss;
Providing a way for to span,
As a bridge between God and man.
God did this so you could come in,
To His presence being free from sin;
And without any fault or blame,
As well as any guilt or shame.
But it depends on faith and trust,
As well as in avoiding lust;
To build your solid foundation,
And assured of your salvation.
I happy that I struggle through,
With the proper words that I do;
For His power does work in me,
Giving insight so I can see.
