Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Righteous Mankind?

Righteous only for those lost souls that follow
those foolish enough to believe
believe in a world of man's good intentions
while watching as all mankind bleeds.
Each day the rich claim more from the poor souls
to build their towers of gold
as sheep we all follow though knowing the sorrow
that one day it's our life that's sold.
We scavenge and scurry to “make it” in a hurry
never thinking of those left behind
we trample on good friends never thinking to meet again
all those we trampled on to climb.
