what does love mean?
how does it impact a life--
or for that matter
the many lives it comes in contact with?
love first and foremost
is an action --not a thing
to be won as a prize.
it is what one does for another
unselfishly, only seeking the best
for the object of that love.
it, in it's highest form
is more a matter of set will
than that of feelings.
it is attitude of heart
that will result in those feelings
of closeness and tenderness--
but it must be remembered
that the will comes before the feelings
thus showing love not as something
that we just fall into without mind or choice
but rather is deliberate the action
which might or might not
produces the affection
once the seeds of love have
germinated within the heart of another.
love is of such a nature
that it impacts all who are connected with it
in positive and often profound ways
changing attitudes, lives and feelings
unlike anything else on earth.
thus love is the apex
of the human expression and experience
which some seek without giving--
but those who give without
sense of entitlement are bettered for it
whether it is returned or not.
thus love, in many ways stands alone
yet when it is practiced and allowed
it's place in the place in the lives of thers
it solidarity gives way to
the most lovely form of harmony,
togetherness, connection and strength!
