Our chance has passed
How foolish I was
To think it would last
I knew you loved her
And, of course, them too
And I do agree
It was the right thing to do
I know the pressure
And pain you felt
No one can help
The hand that they're dealt
Life isn't perfect
Good things are few
The only good thing
in my life was you
I know you loved me
I saw it in your eyes
That's why when you told me
It was such surprise
I couldn't believe
You would leave me like that
Just turn away
And never look back
But I know it could happen
I know dreams come true
That's why every night
I'll be dreaming of you…
